Privacy Policy
Location Toolbox provides location, maps, measuring, weather, compass, altitude, level, and watermark camera features. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what system permissions and data the app uses and how you can manage them.
1. Data We Process
- Location data: Used to show your current position, coordinates, altitude, speed, route distance, nearby map results, weather for your area, and location watermarks. The app requests location only for related features.
- Camera data: Used to take check-in photos, preview AR measuring, and add location, time, altitude, coordinates, compass, or weather watermarks to photos.
- Photos and library access: Used to choose an existing photo for watermarking or save a watermarked photo to your photo library.
- Motion sensors and barometer: Used for altitude changes, barometer-assisted readings, level angle, compass support, and AR measuring.
- Saved places and history: Places, routes, measuring records, altitude history, and preferences are stored locally on your device for in-app use.
- Purchase status: The app uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and restore purchases. Apple processes payment transactions. We do not collect your payment card number or Apple ID password.
2. How We Use Data
The data above is used only to provide app features, including live location, map display, saved places, route planning, coordinate measuring, weather, watermark camera, altitude, GPS speed, compass, level, and AR measuring.
3. Data Storage
Saved places, routes, measuring records, altitude history, and preferences are stored locally on your device by default. We do not operate our own server and do not upload these local records to our server.
4. Third-Party Services
- Apple Maps and Location Services: Used for map display, place search, navigation, and system location.
- Apple WeatherKit: Used to obtain weather data. WeatherKit data sources and legal attribution are governed by Apple's terms.
- Apple StoreKit: Used to process in-app purchases, restore purchases, and transaction verification.
5. Permission Controls
You can disable location, camera, photos, motion, or fitness permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Some features may stop working or show limited data if permissions are disabled.
6. Sharing
When you use the system share sheet, the shared content may include places, coordinates, photos, or watermark data that you choose. Please review the content before sharing it with others.
7. Children's Privacy
This app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new effective date in the app or on this page.
